The people in southern region of Netherlands, for example share their dishes with the Flanders. All kinds of sea foods, especially herring are extremely popular across Netherlands. Apart from the herring; mussels, shrimps, oysters and sole are also very popular in Holland and are eaten in different cooking style and flavor. Freshwater eel is also quite popular in Netherlands.
